The Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) developed a statement of Principles and Practices for the Sale of Products and Services by Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance Brokers to set out best practices that should apply to the conduct of P&C brokers in their dealings with consumers of P&C insurance. 

It will also help to provide consumers with a benchmark to assess the conduct of any P&C broker with whom they currently have a relationship, or are considering establishing a relationship.
